Project Storm for Revit Structure

As the idea of infinite computing continues to gain traction in the building industry, structural engineers and designers are next to realize the benefits of cloud based offerings with Project Storm. Project Storm for Autodesk Revit Structure is a technology preview available on Autodesk Labs that provides cloud-based structural analysis as a part of the BIM process. With Project Storm, engineers and designers can extend design models from Revit Structure to the cloud for structural analysis and then visualize and explore the results from directly within Revit Structure.

Project Storm enables structural engineers and designers to:

  • To perform static analysis from the cloud so as not to disrupt their workflow or hinder performance.

  • Simultaneously perform static analysis for various buildings models or parts of a project.

  • Calculate different variants of the same model for example using differing materials, at the same time.
